Alokananda is an enterprising leader with 23 years of experience extensively in Project Management, Business Development and Fund Raising, Operational Excellence in the CSR, Pharmaceuticals, Clinical Research, Medical Certifications and Healthcare Education sectors. She excels in Customer Relationship Management, Key Stakeholder Mapping and Key Account Management, Strategic Planning, leading on New Product launch activities, Sales and Marketing, Market Research, Events Management, Crisis Management, Team Building and Strategic Leadership. Alokananda is a certified pharmacist with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an MBA in Marketing and Personnel Management with a Diploma in Advertising Management from Institute of Communication Management (ICM), Bangalore and in Pharmaceutical Marketing from APEX, a venture of Aptech Pvt. Ltd. in exclusive collaboration with Tact Training International, U.K. In addition, while at the British Council, she acquired a Certification in Applied Project Management and a Certification in Human Capital Investment Planning (Level 5)’ training by Abdi ROI UK – Planning, Measurement and Reporting Results. She also holds the following credentials, adding value to diverse domains specializing in eye health, women leadership, worker well-being and AI tools enabled business intelligence. Certificate in International Eye Health from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, 2020 Certificate in True Woman Leadership Program from College of Business, Florida International University, 2021 Certified as the Worker Well-Being Champion in the Worker Well-being (WWB) Convening, 2018 Certificate in AI Tools – ChatGPT and Business Intelligence using Power BI in 2023 In her last assignment as the Senior Country Program Lead for the See to Earn, Livelihoods in Focus, Clear Vision Workplaces Programs and COVID-19 Emergency Response under the Vision Access Programs India vertical at Vision Spring Foundation, Alokananda accomplished numerous projects and programs within the stipulated time and allocated budget. She has spearheaded a large number of community outreach, livelihoods, health and education projects under the See to Earn Clear Vision Workplaces program for factories and workplaces and the See to Earn program for communities in India as well as for weavers/artisans communities, tea garden workers, tribal communities, construction workers, for various corporate organizations and NGOs across rural, peri-urban and the urban landscapes across India. Over a span of 6 years, she has been instrumental in building the program vertical from vision screening 2.50+ lakh communities earning less than $4 a day in 2018 to impacting 18+ lakh beneficiaries by end of 2023 by providing the gift of clear vision to 10+ lakh individuals with the intervention of VisionSpring eyeglasses through multiple projects in collaboration with 250+ CSR organizations and partners across the rural, peri-urban and urban landscapes in 23 states of India. She played a key role in training more than 4,000 Vision Champions in the factories and communities, thereby contributing majorly to the sustainability of the programs in diverse ways. As the Head – Programmes at the British Council – British High Commission, Alokananda has extensive experience of working closely in the areas of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in workplaces and has been an EDI Champion. She has managed and delivered projects extensively in English language for Government schools and teacher training, Arts and Culture, Social Entrepreneurship, Higher Education, Libraries. She managed child labour and ensured that the child protection policies are being adhered to in the workplaces, spearheaded various programs on skills and employability including youth employment, Health and Safety in workplaces, led on programs resulting in poverty reduction and worked with women entrepreneurship and empowerment organizations for the eradication of forced labour in the communities. At Learning Links Foundation, as a Managing Consultant for Technology and Innovation, Alokananda’s role involved leading the team in the UNICEF and Facebook projects in 7 states on the aspects of the program management, stakeholder management, conceptualization, resource allocation, content development, overall implementation and execution of project deliverables at the ground level, operations and logistics management, writing project closure reports, exploring opportunities for fund raising and future upscaling of the UNICEF Stay Safe Online Program in 7 states of India namely, Gujarat, Assam, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. As the Regional Representative and Business Development Manager for India, Middle East and Africa at Pearson VUE and American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), Chicago, Alokananda spearheaded new product launches in the global credentialing businesses and deserves the merit of setting up the Advisory Boards in Egypt, India, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Kuwait by appointing the key opinion leaders from the various sectors like nursing, medical laboratory technology and emergency medicine to endorse the various medical certifications of NCSBN, ASCP and NREMT, developing a roadmap for the ASCP certifications in India in collaborations with organizations & boards in the medical laboratory technology segment like AIIMT, AIMLTA, etc. Alokananda’s other merits include working extensively in the Clinical Research Education domain as a Regional Marketing Manager and Centre Head, leading and developing post graduate programs in Clinical Research from UK and US Universities for doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists and professionals from the health and medical fraternities by collaborating with 100+ UK and US educational consultants thereby meeting the impact targets and reaching out to 100+ colleges and creating market awareness about the clinical research programmes of study. She garnered expertise in the following areas during her tenure of working for almost 10 years in the pharmaceuticals, healthcare and clinical research space in organizations like Ranbaxy, Alcon and Clinical Research Institutes.
